QUEEN legend Brian May called in to a Barnsley restaurant for his tea.

The guitarist, who wrote songs including We Will Rock You and Fat Bottom Girls, had been on his way to Wentworth Castle where he was speaking at an event.

But the peckish star decided to have some good old pub food and went to the Strafford Arms at Stainborough.

Owner Gary Hunt said: "Brian enjoyed a meal with friends and colleagues, making time to shake hands and speak to the staff and other guests.

"It was such a surreal moment to actually meet and speak to someone who had achieved so much in the music industry."
