GENEROUS residents have helped raise £6,000 for IVF treatment for a Cudworth couple who are unable to conceive naturally.
Lifesaving chemotherapy left Laura Pye, of Barnsley Road, unable to get pregnant. She and husband Chris have tried IVF five times and had no money left for a sixth attempt.
But pledges have flooded in on their 'Making Baby Pye' fundraising page and others have organised charity events.
"I just can't believe the amount of support. It's just amazing," said Laura, 31.
"Becoming a mum is the first thing I think about when I open my eyes in the morning and the last thing I think about when I go to bed at night.
"When I dream, I dream about holding my baby. I believe we have suffered enough."
