BARNSLEY lass Edith Hollingsworth has celebrated her 100th birthday!
Born on November 6, 1914, Edith married Cyril in 1940 and they had two daughters, Betty and Diane.
The family lived in Paper Mill Yard but for the past five years Edith has been a resident at Cherry Trees Nursing Home, Cundy Cross.
Edith celebrated her big day with family, friends, fellow residents and staff at a party at the home.
John Backhouse, the home's activity leader, said: "Edith is as bright as a button. She loves to pop into our coffee shop and enjoy a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.
"She loves a bit of a natter."
