A BARNSLEY nurse who called a patient a 'fat cow' has been let off with a caution.
Shelley Law, who worked on a psychiatric ward at Kendray Hospital, also shouted at patients, the Nursing and Midwifery Council was told.
Law told a colleague that if a patient wet herself on her shift 'she'll be left to f**king lie in it', the panel was told.
She said the same patient was being 'a f**king cow' and was suspended from the hospital later that month.
Panel chairman Colin Youngson handed Law a one-year caution order and said: "Not only did you use derogatory language to colleagues when referring to patients, but the panel has found that you also shouted at two separate patients.
"You were told by a colleague that your language was not appropriate, but nonetheless went on to use similar language again to refer to a patient."
He added the panel considered that she did not present a risk to the public or to patients and a caution was appropriate.
