LEGENDARY Queen guitarist Brian May is to hold a special talk in Barnsley this week.
May will appear at Wentworth Castle on Thursday from 7pm, talking about his childhood, how he got into music, his time with Queen and his dual passions for astronomy and animal welfare.
The intimate event has been arranged as a special fundraiser for Labour MPs Angela Smith and Sarah Champion.
A spokesman said: "The evening has come about due to the strong relationship which formed between Brian and Angela during the campaign work she did to try to prevent the culling of badgers."
The musician has been one of the leading campaigners against the government’s badger cull policy, which involved pilot culling programmes taking place in Gloucestershire and Somerset last year.
Ministers say culling badgers is needed to reduce the number of TB cases in cattle, but protesters say it has little effect.
