SAM Winnall bagged a hat-trick as Barnsley thumped five past Burton Albion in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Danny Wilson's men looked in impressive form in the first round clash, easing their way into this evening's draw for the next round with further goals from Conor Hourihane and Devante Cole.
Burton, who sit a point off the automatic promotion places in League Two, threatened to open the scoring early on, with efforts from Shane Cansdell-Sherriff and Robbie Weir going close.
However, in-form Winnall put the hosts ahead five minutes before half time, before he doubled Barnsley's lead two minutes later.
Those two goals on the stroke of the break all but killed the tie, but the Reds' attack didn't rest up and top-scoring midfielder Conor Hourihane added a third in the 56th minute.
Winnall grabbed his third with 15 minutes to go, before Devante Cole completed the rout seven minutes from time.
Danny Wilson said: "Cup football's about being in the hat for the next round, so if you can put a good performance in and get some goals it's a bonus.
"To run in five goals is very pleasing."
