TWO security firm directors have been given suspended jail terms for supplying unlicensed doormen to nightspots in Barnsley.
Ian Lindsay, 48, and 56-year-old Martyn Cook were both sentenced at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard Lindsay set up his security firm after being released from prison.
The pair used companies Dragon Security Solutions and Goodfellas in Barnsley to supply unlicensed security guards to unsuspecting customers.
They admitted a total of 29 offences over a nine-month period.
Neither held the required Security Industry Authority (SIA) licences needed to work in private security.
The pair were both given suspended jail terms and were banned from being company directors.
Nathan Salmon, SIA investigations manager, said: "These strong sentences reflect the seriousness of the offending by these two directors."
Work is now being carried out to seize any money the men gained from their offending.
