WHAT'S your favourite Barnsley treasure? The search is on to crown the town's best.
Staff at Barnsley museums have been delving into their vast collections in a bid to find their greatest treasure - and they're asking residents to vote for their favourite.
Some 100 pieces from the council’s museums, art galleries and archives have been photographed and starting on Monday, one will be posted here every day.
Coun Roy Miller, cabinet spokesperson for place, said: "Some pieces will be instantly recognisable, but there are also a few more unusual artefacts to watch out for.
"I hope that people will help us in our search for Barnsley's greatest treasure."
After the 100th item has been revealed there will be a voting period of two weeks to determine the winner.
