A SOUTH Yorkshire animal rescue centre has seen an influx in pigs - including a 200lb former pet.

It's thought that owners unknowingly bought what they presumed was a micro pig, but in fact they grew into full-sized animals.

A growing number of not-so-little pigs have taking up residence at Mill House Sanctuary.

A statement from the sanctuary said: "They're micro when born but, like all pigs, grow very much bigger. They also need lots of attention or they get destructive.

"We've already rescued one of these pigs who's grown way beyond the owner's expectations in a very short time. Pigs are a farm animal, not a pet."
