A BARNSLEY man has been charged with inciting a 16-year-old girl to be a prostitute.
Andrew Dawson, 27, is alleged to have used a Facebook site to cause the teenager to be a call girl.
Dawson, who lives in Monk Bretton with his pregnant wife, allegedly used a jobs site to send messages to the 16-year-old girl.
The girl had posted an advert saying she was available for cleaning or baby-sitting, Barnsley Magistrates' Court was told.
The girl was looking for part-time work to earn money for Christmas, said Jayne Ormrod, prosecuting.
Mrs Ormrod said: "Mr Dawson allegedly tried to arrange to meet the girl for sex for which she would receive payment."
Dawson's bail application was turned down and he was remanded in custody. He will make his first appearance at Sheffield Crown Court on October 23.
