A BARNSLEY photographer has helped to raise over £800 at a charity day in aid of Weston Park.

Lyndsay Brown - who runs Picture Proud Photography at the Elsecar Heritage Centre - did family photo-shoots for a small donation to charity at an open day on Saturday. It raised £842 for the charity.

Lyndsay said: "The charity days have been a huge success in the past and are usually very busy. Last year we raised over £300 for Comic Relief and the year before we raised around £250 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

"We've been touched by stories of local people, including some customers, who've been treated at Weston Park recently and would like to do our bit to help."

There was face painters and magicians around on the day, from nearby toy shop WowHow, with free balloons and goodies for everyone taking part.
