POLICE in Barnsley have issued a warning after a little boy was led away from his mum on the way home from school.
It is reported that at around 5pm on September 29, a family was walking in Pinfold Lane, Darfield, when approached by an unknown woman.
The woman's behaviour was suspicious and when confronted by the boy's mother, she ran away.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been working with the local schools who have sent letters home advising parents to be vigilant.
Police believe this to be an isolated incident but anyone with any concerns should call 101.
