SNOOKER'S governing body is investigating ‘unusual betting’ on a match at the Metrodome.

The qualifying matches for the International Championship tournament were held at the venue last week, with star names such as Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump in attendance.

Jamie Burnett beat amateur John Sutton 6-0, and it's that match which has come to the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association's attention.

A spokesman said: "Together with the sports betting intelligence unit at the Gambling Commission, we are analysing the available information on this match."
