SOME of Barnsley Council's adult and social care services have moved into Gateway Plaza - but residents have been warned it is not a public building.

Any inquiries to these departments have to be made through Barnsley Connects, in the Civic on Eldon Street. The staff are moving from offices at Wellington House, Beevor Court, the Civic and the Central Library so that the whole service is housed together. Sections making the move are as follows:

From Wellington House - the Assistant Executive Directors of Vulnerable Adults, Disability and Provider Services, Personalisation, and their secretaries/assistants; Business Support, Housing Options, Advice and Homeless Prevention, Safeguarding Adults, Self Directed Support Team, Information Management, Comments, Compliments & Complaints, Equality and Diversity, Public Information, Service Support, Social Care Workforce Development Unit, Blue Badge/Admin team, Social Care Registration Team, Residential Payments Team, Projects, Business Resilience, Business Governance, Transport andDeprivation Of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) Team; from Beevor Court - the Assistant Executive Director, Community Services; from the Civic and the Library -  Access to Services Team. All staff will keep the same telephone numbers.
