BARNSLEY'S fitness fanatics are set to enjoy new equipment after a refurbishment at two BPL gyms.
Royston and Dearneside leisure centres have both had a makeover - and for a limited time only, it’s free to join the gyms as a member.
New equipment, changing rooms, a members' area and a temperature-controlled environment have been implemented at Dearneside, while Royston members are also set to benefit from new kit as well as a better layout.
Gym member Paul Heckingbottom, who is a former professional football player and current Barnsley FC coach, will unveil Royston's new look on September 26 at 1pm.
Dearneside will be officially opened on October 3 at 11am by Premier League linesman Darren England.
Aaron Kirkwood, BPL marketing manager, said: "We're committed to continuously making improvements at all of our venues for the benefit of our members and guests and all our income is re-invested into the facilities."
