A BARNSLEY woman was left speechless when her boyfriend proposed - by carving his message of love into a tree.
Jonny Hoyland, 27, who lives with Hayley Stewart at Inchburn Crescent, Penistone, waited until she went to work at Meadowhall last Saturday before taking Ronnie, their dog, out for a walk.
When the 21-year-old came home, Jonny suggested another stroll up the lane with Ronnie and surprised her by getting down on one knee next to his carved message.
She said: "He had already been to ask my dad if he could marry me - it took him two hours to pluck up the courage while he was admiring my dad's tomato plants."
