THE mother of two autistic children has set up a group which bakes and delivers birthday cakes for disadvantaged children.

Janine Lister, 30, from Darton, has set up a Barnsley branch of Free Cakes For Kids UK to help youngsters whose families can't provide a cake.

She said: "There are 72 groups across the UK, but there wasn't one in Barnsley so I thought I would set one up.

"I enjoy baking and the cakes mean a lot to people.

"It's for children who don't get a birthday cake for whatever reason - the last family were so grateful."
