A BUDDING Barnsley golfer is celebrating after achieving a hole-in-one - at the tender age of 10.
Brett Timlin, who has been playing the sport for five years, hit the wonder shot on the sixth hole in a competition at Hickleton Golf Club, Doncaster, on September 29.
The 159-yard hole usually takes three strokes to finish - but Barugh Green lad Brett only needed one from his tee shot.
"I was shocked," Brett, of Barugh Green, said. "I didn't know it had gone in until I got on the green."
Brett - whose hero is Lee Westwood - watched Europe triumph over the USA in the Ryder Cup just a day before he and doubles partner Jack Branton won at the South Yorkshire 18-holer.
Proud dad David said: "We're very proud of him - some golfers go through their entire career never getting a hole-in-one so to do it as a 10-year-old is amazing."
