A BARNSLEY College student landed a place on a prestigious course at Oxford University - after bagging three A grades in the first year of her A-Levels!
Lauren Taylor, 17, who is studying English language and literature, art and ICT, was one of only 11 students from across the country to get a place on the week-long history of art summer school.
She stayed in the university's halls of residence during the programme and took classes, met current students and completed research in the university's library.
Lauren said: "It was a bit scary at first as the university is so huge but everyone was lovely and Oxford is so pretty.
"I’m now looking forward to starting my second year of A-Levels and I’m definitely planning on applying to Oxford next year."
