A BARNSLEY councillor is due to appear in court accused with offences under the Protection from Eviction Act.
Coun Phil Davies, who represents the Old Town ward, is charged with depriving a residential occupier of his occupation of a house on Lingard Street, Barnsley.
It follows his arrest after an altercation with a neighbour in July 2013.
The case will go before magistrates in Sheffield on Thursday.
