ANOTHER weather warning has been issued for Sunday by the Met Office.

Friday saw over a month's worth of rain batter South Yorkshire from late in the afternoon and brought chaos to Barnsley, with flooded roads and shops across the town.

Given the unseasonable nature of the weather, Sunday's expected downpour could be sufficient to disrupt transport and make outdoor activities dangerous.

"There is the potential for rainfall totals of more than 50mm in places and gusts of over 60 mph," a statement from the Met Office - who have issued another yellow warning - said.

"The public are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and alerts through the weekend."
