A SCHOOLGIRL has been helping The Fonz from Happy Days to inspire children struggling with dyslexia.
Megan Blackburn, 14, was one of a group of children invited to film at St Catherine's High School in Halifax with actor Henry Winkler from the iconic TV show.
These days he is known to a new generation as Mr Rock from CBBC comedy drama show Hank Zipzer: The World's Greatest Underachiever.
The show was inspired by a series of books by Henry and writer Lin Oliver. They tell the story of Hank Zipper, a 12-year-old boy with dyslexia, who is growing up in New York.
The challenges he faces are based on Henry's own childhood.
Megan, of Roundacre, Wilthorpe, who is studying drama at Penistone Grammar School, was invited to film with Henry as she is signed up to Barnsley's Tykes 2000 Casting agency.
Megan's mum Louisa said: "When the agency calls, we get a location and a contact but don't know anything else. We went to the school in Halifax with Megan and couldn't believe it when we walked in."
