A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries after colliding with a car near Stairfoot roundabout on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are appealing for information following the incident, which happened just after 4.35pm on Doncaster Road.
The bike, a silver BMW, was travelling towards the Tesco superstore when it was in collision with a grey Volkwagen Polo which was turning right into MD Car Sales.
The rider of the bike, a 43-year-old man, suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 756 of 22/07/2014.
