A BARNSLEY man who died following an assault on Friday has been named.
Nigel Evans, 24, died on Sunday from his injuries after emergency services were originally called to Sunderland Terrace, near the town centre, at around 5.50pm on July 18.
Magomeds Hizrijevs, 20, of Doncaster Road, Barnsley, has now been charged with his manslaughter.
He appeared at Barnsley Magistrates' Court on Monday and has been remanded in custody. He will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on August 4.
