A MAN who was assaulted in Barnsley on Friday has now died as a result of his injuries.
Emergency services were called to Sunderland Terrace, near the town centre, at around 5.50pm following reports of a disturbance.
A 24-year-old man was found unconscious on arrival and was taken to hospital.
He was pronounced dead on Sunday, with a post-mortem examination due to take place today (Monday).
Magomeds Hizrijevs 20, of Doncaster Road, Barnsley, has now been charged with manslaughter.
