A WEATHER warning has been issued for South Yorkshire by the Met Office.
Experts have predicted that thunderstorms and torrential downpours are on their way for Friday night into Saturday morning, with an amber alert being issued.
A statement said: "Where the thunderstorms do form, some torrential downpours are likely with frequent lightning, large hail and locally strong gusts.
"Significant flooding is possible where these do occur. The public should be prepared for the risk of disruption from any of these elements."
