A BARNSLEY-BASED nursery group has been shortlisted for two national awards.
Happy Kids, who have nurseries at Athersley, Cudworth, Goldthorpe, Grimethorpe and Kendray, have been shortlisted in two categories at the Nursery World Awards.
The company will go up against the nation's best in the categories of business development and for two-year-old childcare.
The awards are open to everyone working in the early education and childcare and highlights best practice in the sector.
"It really is an honour to have recognised in these prestigious awards," said Steve Scott, director of Happy Kids.
"The most important thing is the reward we get every day when you see the children learn and develop as they play and have fun."
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on September 27.
