TWO men have been arrested following an early-morning incident in Monk Bretton.

Police were called at around 5.10am on July 16 to reports that a man had a knife in Priory Court.

Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old man with minor injuries.

James Lauchlan, 35, appeared at court charged with S18 assault, affray and criminal damage. He has been remanded into custody.

A second man was arrested in connection with the offence, but no knife was found.
