AN 80-year-old woman who sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision in Barnsley is now on the mend.
The pensioner's Nissan Micra was travelling along Vernon Road in Ward Green towards Mount Vernon Road at around 1.15pm last Friday afternoon.
It's believed that the Micra lost control, before reportedly mountain the kerb and coming into collision with the metal gateposts of two properties.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the woman's condition is "much improved" and she is now stable.
