ALMOST £30,000 will be spent making repairs and improvements to a play area in Barnsley.
The works, at Littleworth Lane play area in Lundwood, will be carried out by Barnsley Council and will be paid for using £28,450 that was set aside by a developer of a site on Pontefract Road at Lundwood, which later went in to administration.
The play equipment will be refurbished, fencing repaired and better security lighting will be fitted.
