A FREE dog microchipping event will take place in Barnsley later this month.
Barnsley Council, who has teamed up with the Dogs Trust, will hold the event in the pavilion at Royston Park, Midland Road, between 11am and 3pm on July 29.
Coun Roy Miller, spokesperson for place, said: "I would encourage pet owners who haven’t already had their dog microchipped to come along to this event.
"It’s free of charge and will give you the peace of mind that if you do lose your dog, you can be contacted and reunited with your pet quickly."
