HUNDREDS of people turned out to witness the first cycle race to be held in Barnsley's town centre for 20 years.
Last Tuesday's Barnsley Criterium marked the start of the town's pre-Tour de France celebrations.
It was brought back to the town centre by Team Cystic Fibrosis and provided onlooking spectators with a high-speed taste of what is to come when the world's best skirt Barnsley on Sunday.
