THE popular continental market makes a welcome return to Barnsley town centre on Wednesday.
Mouthwatering culinary delights and handmade crafts will be on offer at the market, which welcomes sellers from all over the world.
For people wanting to get into the spirit of the upcoming Tour de France there will be French baked goods, known as viennoiserie, along with breads.
The French stallholders will be joined by traders from China, Thailand, Peru, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Greece and Bulgaria as well as UK sellers at the market, which will be open from 9am to 5.30pm from Wednesday until Saturday.
Visitors can feast on paella cooked to a family recipe from Cordoba, Italian biscotti, soft nougat, Thai noodles, freshly baked macaroons, German bratwurst and continental cheeses.
While the market is in town, a road closure will be in place on Cheapside, Queen Street, Peel Square, New Street, May Day Green and Market Street.
