BARNSLEY Central MP Dan Jarvis has landed the opportunity to raise an issue reflecting local residents' concerns in Parliament. What would you like him to bring up?
Jarvis has been successful in a ballot to introduce a Private Members’ Bill. This will give him the opportunity to introduce legislation about an issue of his choice.
He said: "This is a great surprise and a great opportunity to raise an issue which matters to the people of Barnsley and hopefully introduce new legislation to make a lasting difference.
"I’m thinking hard to decide the best issue to cover. So many important issues are raised with me by local constituents, it will be a task whittling it down to just one. But I’m open to all suggestions."
