CHRIS O'Grady's wage demands are believed to have brought an end to Charlton Athletic's interest in the Barnsley striker.
The Reds were reported to have agreed a £500,000 fee with last season's relegation rivals for their 15-goal player of the year, but the London club are now thought to have pulled out.
Other clubs have made enquiries for the 28-year-old, with Barnsley keen to offload high-earning players to reduce their wage bill.
Dale Jennings, Martin Cranie and Luke Steele are the other players who are expected to attract interest.
