TWO covert cameras will be set up to catch fly-tippers in a litter-strewn area in Barnsley.

Barnsley Council's enforcement team have acted in response to the ongoing problem around Beevor Street and Frederick Street in Goldthorpe.

Coun Ralph Sixsmith is vowing to get tougher and wants to name and shame those responsible.

He said: "It's the mentality of the people. The bubble has got to burst.

"We want them to know that they can't get away with it any longer. We want them written about."

The introduction of two specially-trained enforcement officers whose responsibilities will be dealing with all manner of anti-social behaviour have been approved and will be paid out of the ward budgets.
