A MAN has been taken to hospital after sustaining a serious stab wound.

Police were called at around 12.55pm on Tuesday to reports that a man had been injured in Wellington Crescent, Worsbrough.

A 27-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated for a serious stab wound. It is not believed to be life-threatening.

It is reported that the man was in an altercation with another man. The second man is thought to have left the scene and officers are in the area making enquiries.
