A group of Barnsley locals have set up a group on Facebook to organise auctions for needy people.
The group - called Freecycle In Barnsley South Yorkshire - was set up to allow people to give away their items to people who needed them. But, in recent weeks, the members took a vote to auction off some of the items to raise money for some of the members,
So far they've raised £125 to buy a new bike for a boy, £260 for a headstone for a stillborn baby who died in 2009 and £126 to replace a plaque on a gravestone after the original was stolen.
Spokesman Ayli Crossland said the next auction would be on Tuesday (February 14). She said: "This time we decided to raise money for the children's ward at the hospital. Some of the members have had children who have been treated in there. They need new play equipment so we thought we'd try to help."
The group is also looking for a town centre venue to host a makeover party - if they find somewhere it will be held on February 17. For more info or suggestions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
