TOILETS at Locke Park will now be open seven days a week after members of the public complained they were closed on weekends and bank holidays.

The toilets are attached to the side of the park's cafe and were built to replace older facilities at the bowling green pavilion, which can still used by bowlers when the green is open.

However, the newer toilets have been locked at weekends, which prompted complaints.

A council spokesman added: "Locke Park public toilets will now be open at weekends and on bank holidays, following a re-organisation of staffing arrangements. This means there will be public toilet facilities at the park seven days a week."
