TWO men were arrested following an altercation at a house in Darfield.

A 38-year-old man suffered wounds - thought to be caused by a scissors - during the incident which happened in Snape Hill Road at around noon on Friday.

He remains in hospital and is receiving treatment for his injuries, which are not life-threatening.

The other victim, a 39-year-old man, suffered minor cuts and bruises and was not admitted to hospital.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing a section 18 assault, and a 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a section 18 assault.

Both men, who are from Darfield, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
