A BARNSLEY adrenaline junkie marked her 80th birthday in style - by jumping out of a plane.

Patricia Glave, of Wakefield Road, Athersley, jumped 2,000 feet out of a plane in Lincolnshire and said it was the 'most fabulous feeling'.

"I enjoyed it so much I want to do it again," she added. "I've been wanting to do it for so long I didn't feel nervous - I just concentrated on all the instructions.

"It was such a clear day and I could see for miles."

Patricia paid to take part in the skydive, but invited charities and individuals to collect for their own charities in her name.

She hopes to have raised £900 which will be split three ways between Macmillan Nurses, a children's leukaemia charity and Jackie Ryalls, originally from Dodworth, who does charity work in Bosnia.
