A BARNSLEY lass is shaving her long hair off for charity in memory of her grandfather.
Hannah Eatwell, 22, of Standhill Crescent, New Lodge, is raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds, where her grandfather Terry Hebden spent his last days before passing away on February 26.
Hannah is putting on a fundraising event at The Courthouse in Barnsley town centre on April 30, where the head shave will be held.
Friends Joe Copley and Matthew Coldwell are having a full body wax to help Hannah's cause, as well as a raffle including the chance to win tickets to watch the Reds at Oakwell next season.
"My hair is near enough to my waist," said Hannah. "I wasn't nervous when I first thought of the idea, but as the date is creeping up, I'm starting to get a little anxious.
"It's all for a good cause though, so hopefully my granddad would have been proud."
