PARENTS and parents-to-be have been meeting up to discuss suggestions on how the town's maternity services can be improved.
The sessions have given people the chance to share their experiences with other service users and healthcare professionals.
Sandra Newman, matron for maternity at the hospital, said: "The group provides invaluable feedback and ideas for improvement which make a real difference to the women and families who choose to have their baby in Barnsley.
"It's important we have the help of people who have actually used, or will be using, our services. I strongly encourage parents and parents-to-be to come along to the sessions to help shape the future of our maternity services."
Sessions take place on the first Wednesday of every month at Wilthorpe Children’s Centre, Huddersfield Road, Barnsley, from 10am until 12pm.
