AN 81-year-old man was confronted by two unknown men who forced their way into his home and robbed him.

At around 3.50am on Monday 19 May the man heard a noise outside his home Cedar Crescent, Kendray.

When he opened the door, two men with their faces covered forced entry into the property, knocking the man backwards.

They demanded money and sprayed him in the face with an unknown liquid before taking the man’s wallet which contained a substantial amount of cash.

A police spokesman said: "Fortunately the man did not sustain any serious injuries but is incredibly shaken and upset by the incident."

The men are described as white, both of a slim build and approximately 5ft 11ins and 5ft 9ins tall. They both spoke with a local accent.
