AN INVESTIGATION is underway after more than a dozen vehicles had their tyres slashed in the Hoyland and Blacker Hill areas of Barnsley.
The first damages occurred overnight on February 23 when five cars were targeted.
Five nights later, 12 more vehicles were attacked in the same way. The offender targeted cars and vans on Green Street, Barber Street, Stead Lane, West Street, Greenside and Elm Street in Hoyland.
Inspector Simon Leake, of the Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We are working hard to identify the culprit and would ask anyone with information about any of these attacks to get in touch with the police and help us help those victims who have had their vehicles damaged.
"We will continue to work closely with the community and schools to raise awareness of the crimes."
