DANNY Wilson believes the strike duo of Nick Proschwitz and Chris O'Grady could be the club's key to survival.

Proschwitz - a loan signing from Hull City - teamed up well with O'Grady in Tuesday night's 2-2 draw against promotion hopefuls Blackburn.

Both forwards found the net in that match and four points from their last two home fixtures has lifted fans' optimism.

Wilson said: "We've got two strikers in Nick and Chris who are capable of scoring goals all the time - that could be our salvation.

"People saw Nick's qualities against Blackburn. He gets into the box all the time and certainly doesn’t need a second opportunity to score."

A point against Blackburn - who hammered the Reds 5-2 earlier in the season - was enough for Wilson's side to climb off the foot of the table having been there since October.

Next up for Barnsley is a South Yorkshire derby away at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
