CHARLTON Athletic have offered Barnsley fans free coach travel to the rearranged Championship fixture.

Reds fans, who made the long journey south on January 11, were angered when officials postponed the clash just an hour before kick-off.

Charlton will now supply two coaches - one for Barnsley Football Club and one for the ‘Courthouse Reds’ - to make the trip down to London.

Please be aware of the following:

If you booked with the official club coach for the original trip and wish to travel to the rearranged fixture (when the date is confirmed in the near future), please contact or visit the box office at Oakwell.

Should any supporter who booked with the official club coach and plan not to attend the rearranged fixture, they will be offered a £10 discount on a future coach trip.

If you didn’t travel on the original trip but may want to travel to the rearranged fixture, the box office are taking names for a waiting list.

The cost, should there be any availability, will be £16.

Regarding the Courthouse Reds' coach, please contact them directly regarding any arrangements they're making.

Match ticket refunds must be made by the same method of payment and the box office must have the name and address from original booking.

Barnsley FC chief executive Ben Mansford said: "It's good to see that Charlton have made this gesture in connection with the official coach and the leading independent coach.

"I accept that it will still leave some fans immensely frustrated but it's beyond what Charlton are obliged to do within the regulations.

"I appreciate it will be a tough trip to make for our fans on a Tuesday night but Danny Wilson and I would like as many who can make it as possible to support us."
