TWO late goals from League One side Coventry sent the Reds crashing out of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Jim O'Brien had put Barnsley in front after 19 minutes as he skillfully lobbed Coventry keeper Joe Murphy.

In-form Tomasz Cywka then almost doubled the home side's lead with a curling shot but was denied by the post.

Coventry, who find themselves sitting 10th in League One, equalised in the 78th minute through Frank Moussa, before Leon Clarke condemned Barnsley to defeat in the 89th.

It leaves manager Danny Wilson still looking for his first win since joining the club for a second spell in charge.

Assistant manager Micky Mellon said: "We played well in the first half but we just never got going after the break.

"We lost our individual battles. We never showed our Championship quality today.

"It was a good goal but that seems like a long time ago because we're very disappointed to be out of the cup.

"We're disappointed that maybe we never got the moments and passes right. We didn't show enough aggression going forward."
