CALENDARS being sold in memory of a teenager who collapsed and died from a brain tumour have been snapped up as far away as America and Africa.

Budding beautician and actress Leah Bella Pearson, 18, died in June, just hours after singing happy birthday to her mum, Haley.

While she was undergoing treatment, Leah was looked after at Weston Park Teenage Cancer Unit and her wish was that when she got better was to do all she could to support the unit.

Unfortunately after completing her treatment Leah died.

Following her death, her family and friends decided to carry out Leah's wish by holding fundraising events from abseiling down cliffs, quiz and auction nights to charity football matches.

Her family has also produced a special calendar which features pictures of Leah to raise additional funds for the cancer charity.

Leah's dad, Nigel, of Park Avenue, Brierley, said: "We have done very well up to now by selling around 400 calendars all over Barnsley and also some have gone overseas.

"The calendar is called Leah Bella Sunshine and everything which is made by the sale of them will go to Teenage Cancer Unit at Weston Park where Leah was treated."

The calendar can be bought from Nigel, by calling 07795 562275, and are available in shops around Brierley, Grimethorpe and Cudworth.

Alternatively you can get one from the Facebook page 'Leah Bella Pearson Events' or by emailing haleynige@msn.com.
