DARFIELD Foulstone School has been brought out of special measures following a recent Ofsted inspection. The school was placed in special measures in January last year, but had received very positive interim reports throughout 2011, because of encouraging pupil progress. A school spokesman said: “The last year has seen a fantastic team effort from all connected with the school – pupils, staff, governors, parents and the wider community – who have really pulled together as a team to work concertedly to drive the school forward. We are delighted that our hard work and progress has been recognised.”
